Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Frisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Frisco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Frisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Too Thai Street Eats in Frisco continues to be one of my favorite spots when I’m craving authentic Thai food in the North Dallas/Frisco area. This trip was especially good, with two dishes that absolutely stood out. The Khao Soi Gai was excellent. The rich, creamy coconut curry broth had that perfect combination of spice, sweetness, and savory flavor, with tender chicken and noodles soaking up all that goodness. The crispy noodles on top added the texture that makes a great Khao Soi so addictive. It’s one of those dishes that you start thinking about ordering again before you’ve even finished the bowl. I also had the Panang curry, which was another winner. Thick, creamy, aromatic, and packed with flavor, it had just the right amount of heat without overpowering the coconut and traditional Thai spices. The portion was generous and it paired perfectly with rice. One of the best surprises was finding Leo beer on the menu. You don’t see Leo nearly as often around DFW as Singha or Chang, and having an ice-cold Leo with Khao Soi and Panang curry made the meal feel a little more like being back in Thailand. Too Thai continues to deliver flavorful, satisfying Thai food with dishes that

I visited the new Too Thai location in Frisco after hearing they opened a second location following their Carrollton restaurant. I tried the Tom Kha and Pad See Ew, but unfortunately the food was just average and didn’t really stand out. The noodles lacked meats & The flavors were okay, but I was expecting a little more based on their reputation. The service was decent, but it could have been more attentive and polished. The new location has a nice setup, and hopefully they continue to improve as they settle in. Overall, it was an okay experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Got lunch at Too Thai with my coworkers. The atmosphere is amazing, really bright and lively. The service was very, very quick, our full table got their dishes within 8 minutes of placing our orders even though everyone ordered something different. I ordered the panang curry with chicken thigh at spicy level 3. I found the curry very flavorful and the heat level quite comfortable. It came with a mountain of rice and a respectable bowl of curry. My only criticism was that the chicken was in very large chunks that were difficult to fit in one bite. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food. I will be returning!

This place serves excellent food. Everything arrived impressively fast—our main dishes came out within 5 to 10 minutes, and the appetizers even sooner. Every item tasted fresh and flavorful. The only minor issue was that the rice noodles were slightly sticky, likely from being cooked a bit too long. However, once added to the soup, it made no noticeable difference. Overall, the meal was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable, though it can be a bit noisy, making conversation slightly challenging at times. I appreciated being able to see the cooking area, which added to the experience. While it’s not a high-end or posh setting, it’s a welcoming space that feels well-maintained—perfect for a casual family outing or meeting up with friends. The service truly stood out. The staff were incredibly attentive and patient, helping us decide what to order and checking in shortly after our food arrived, then periodically throughout the meal. They were consistently aware of their tables, walking by to ensure everything was going well without being intrusive. It struck a great balance—they made their presence known so you could easily ask for anything, yet n

Delicious authentic Thai street food 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Friendly and fast service even during busy hours. Very recommended, we will come back again to try more food. Note: on the weekends be prepared to wait, but they have a great online reservation system where you can shop around the area while waiting and they will text you when your table is ready.
